Customer Pain Points

The customer is a manufacturer of high-end communication precision equipment, including base stations, optical modules and smart terminals. Equipped with chips, sensor components and precision circuit boards, the products require strict packaging protection and ESD compliance. Traditional EPS foam and pulp packaging have poor cushioning and resilience, easily causing shell scratches and internal hidden component damage during long-distance transportation and stacking. Conventional materials cannot stably resist static electricity. Friction static electricity often breaks circuit boards, resulting in high defective rates and high after-sales costs. In addition, traditional packaging fails ESD tests and cannot be exported, restricting overseas market expansion.

Custom Solution

To solve the dual problems of shock resistance and static prevention for precision electronics, Fumei New Materials launched a custom dual-density integrated anti-static EPP packaging solution. Adopting zoned density design, the solution balances high-strength protection and lightweight performance. With long-term anti-static modified formula, the products eliminate static hazards fundamentally and meet international ESD and ISTA3A transportation standards. We provide one-stop services including structural design, mold opening, mass production and full performance testing.

Product Introduction

The customized dual-density anti-static EPP packaging box is integrally molded without secondary processing. High-density EPP is applied on corners to strengthen impact resistance, while low-density EPP is used on the main body to reduce weight and logistics cost. The honeycomb closed-cell structure features excellent shock absorption, resilience and deformation resistance, supporting long-term cyclic use. The modified anti-static material can stably dissipate static electricity and avoid component breakdown, fully passing ISTA3A full-condition transportation tests.

Project Achievements

After official application, the customer’s product transportation damage rate dropped from 1.7% to 0.2%, and hidden failure after-sales complaints decreased by 85%. The solution completely solves electrostatic damage and collision damage problems, greatly reducing after-sales and replacement costs. All products pass ESD tests and meet global import and export standards, effectively improving cross-border delivery efficiency and overseas market layout capability. With lightweight, reusable and high-compliance advantages, the EPP packaging perfectly supports mass cross-border transportation and long-term cyclic use.
